A little piece of heaven on earth

They have something called fall break here in Utah. When I asked HOPE what she would want to do during the break she mentioned how much she missed the beach really wanted to go there. I smiled and we reminisced of things we loved about the ocean and our many treasured memories in California. Hope says she is still a beach person and prefers it to the mountains, which I take full responsibility  for since we raised her on the surf and sand! I can’t say which one I like more, but I am enjoying discovering the Mountains  and feel I’m falling in love

Melissa invited us to go with them on a hike up Spanish Fork Canyon. It felt like out of a storybook. A magical place I had thought of before in my imagination to use in the stories I would make up for  my children before bed.  There is something so soothing and even spiritual being in the mountains, amidst  so much beauty. But as I told my kids, it wouldn’t bring me nearly the amount of happiness it does if they weren’t with me. That’s why it truly feels like heaven on earth.
