For Hope on her 14th birthday….

I love how you are thoughtful and kind. Tonight at dinner Kate said one of the things she loves most about you is that you’re always thinking of others more than yourself. she is right.

you are the best big sister and example to all your siblings of what is important in this life. thank you for that.

3.

I love that you have worked so hard at piano and that has given you the opportunity at the age of 13 to start giving piano lessons to 6 students! I am in awe that at 13 you have the patience and ability it requires to be a good teacher.

I love that when other girls ask who you “like” you say… “my dad!” with a smile.

5.

I love that you are  confident, so you will try a new look like glasses…just for fun. and that your shirt says Paris cause were going to go there someday:)

I love how you seem to have a notebook in hand so you can draw if the need ever arises. Tonight dad said one of his favorite things about you is your artistic talent and drawing ability. He is excited for you to illustrate his book! Although Im pretty sure your book will be published before he gets around to writing his.:)

I love how much you love food. yup, this pic says it all.

I love that you make up games for us to play and that your cool enough to play games with us at the park like go to court and no bears out tonight.

I love your sense of humor! you make us all laugh… especially dad, so thank you for that!!!

I love that you never complain about having to share a room with your 6 year old sister, in fact you are wise enough to say that it has brought you two closer together.

I love your love of nature. you have deep respect and fondness of all living things.

I love that you have Julie in your life and the person she has helped you to become.

one of the things I love most about you is that you know who you are and you act accordingly. Gods approval shines upon you each day at the young woman you have become.

And most of all, I love you because you are the daughter I hoped for ,the one who I had dreamed about and  who I had prayed for, when you were born my dreams came true and each day since your birth you have brought incomprehensible joy to my life.
