I enjoy it when people share their favorite things and most things I try come from recommendations from blogs.  My sister Lyndi, at lyndi in the city,  is amazing for really good advice on all kinds of beauty. I was not blessed with this gift. She has also spent a lot a lot of time and money to find out what things really are good and work so if you’re not poor and  in college like me, I would recommend checking her out!  Recently I hit the ripe old age of 40 and suddenly I need to wear make up. I do take care of my skin but I realized that it’s just something I need to do to take care of myself now. Even though there’s a lot of other things I’d rather spend my time doing I’ve been able to find a few things that work and it only takes a few minutes…  (Phew for the human race who gets to look at my face.) The primer from hard candy really smoothed and evened my skin color. I love, love this foundation from L’Oréal! and the cuteness of the container just puts a smile on my face every time I use it. I have tried soooo many different mascaras and voluminous is the winner still. I always use a bronzer to contour and I love this super cheap one from rimmel.  The cover girl outlast really works and I like this light pink color. If I were going to be spending money this Christmas I would for sure be getting my sisters this charcoal mask! holy cow I could tell a difference after one use! And for under $10 I think it’s a really, really great gift idea!  At night I just use plain old coconut oil to clean my face and moisturize it . Win win!

Alas my hair is falling out and I will never have the lush long hair of my dreams. I’m using the fight fallout from OgX and it works! its a Christmas miracle! 🙂

The last favorite thing in beauty products around here is the gel nails by sally Hansen. Jeremy loves it when I paint my nails..ahhh so cute huh? I hate doing it and I hate how quick it comes off! this really does last me about a week and the best part is it leaves my nails feeling healthier and stronger!

Okay this is totally embarrassing. But here’s my before and after using these make-up products. its very subtle and natural, that’s the way I like it.
